another mutiny, yes?
how many mutinies, coups and rallies does it take to be liberated from indifference and experience better change?
we are well aware that our government is fond of “entertaining” us with whatever stupidity they can come up with, so the mutiny at the manila peninsula is not so surprising at all. in fact, we should be relaxing with a nice cocktail while watching the news.
i wasn’t expecting the tank, the mass arrest and the curfew tho, and to be honest, i was a bit worried because it kinda reminds me of martial law. but of course, this is the philippines, expect to be entertained whether you like it or not. what everybody did wasn’t amusing. after the glorietta and batasan bombings, some of us were hopeful that foreign investors would still want to invest in the philippines. but after this stupid circus? i’m beginning to doubt it.
instead of letting their pen0r pride cloud their idealistic shit, why can’t everybody look at the bigger picture and THINK–for once–how their actions affect the country on a global basis? somebody ship me to timbuktu, please!
